FAQ
When is the best time to visit Costa Rica?
Costa Rican Dry Season lasts from late November to May, peaking in January. It's hot, sunny, and there are fewer mosquitos. However, December and January can be very crowded since that is the holiday season. Wet Season lasts from late May to November, peaking in October. This means lots of rain, mud, and more bugs, as well as risk of storms August-September. My favorite time of year is March to May, when there is still plenty of good weather, animal activity, and much smaller crowds. Plus, a lot of flowers are blooming.
Are you a travel agent?
Technically, no. I do not book or reserve flights. But that is all you have to do on your own. I handle all the rest.
Why in the world did you base a Costa Rican tour company in Lopez Island Washington?
The short answer? Convenience. I had to leave Costa Rica during COVID and went back home, where I had time to finally start this company. I may change this in the future. A small island in WA state is probably the worst place to run this type of business, financially.
Who or what is "Liana"?
A liana is a woody vine. It can be any of several species, but is responsible for connecting trees together and gives the jungle its characteristic look and structure. Because of lianas, the tropical rainforest can support such unique biodiversity, with many species living together in a complex environment.

Also I think the word sounds nice.
